American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring Level II Trauma experience and at least one prior travel contract.

• Observation unit caring for chest pain rule-out patients, supporting the ED during high census periods
• Cardiac and telemetry patient population
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon at time of offer

• Active RN license (Montana or compact) currently in hand
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Level II Trauma experience required;
  Level I Trauma experience preferred
• At least one prior travel contract required, no first-time travelers accepted
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• References required for consideration

• Care for cardiac and observation patients including chest pain rule-outs and telemetry monitoring
• Skills in IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip management (titration preferred) and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Familiarity with rapid response and code team protocols
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Prior perm employees must have a 2-year break in service before being considered
• Candidates with license or background check hits may be considered on a case-by-case basis
