The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The Clinic RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic RNs are pivotal members of the care delivery team headed by the physician and have specialized knowledge, skills and ability pertinent to ambulatory care patient needs.
Scope of performance includes prioritization and triage of care delivery, implementing established standing orders and protocols, performing procedures and therapies consistent with training and licensure.

Full time (40 budgeted hours). Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm - Unit/
Location:
Yellowstone Medical Center, Billings Montana
- Experience in surgical nursing preferred Post Op/Recovery or inpatient acute surgical setting, Urology experience preferred also.
- Ability to manage high volume and busy surgical specialty practice.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
- Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- One (1) year related experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting is required.
- Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required.
- Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure, and functions; and community resources. Understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies. Familiarity with state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations.
- Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards patients.
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
- Critical thinking skills within scope of practice population health management and improvement of patient outcomes.
