Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Wound​/Ostomy Care

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Wound Care position requiring prior travel experience and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

• Active RN license (Montana or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in wound treatments and dressings including alginates, foams, hydrocolloids, hydrogels, and wound vac therapy preferred
• Experience with debridement techniques (autolytic, enzymatic, mechanical, sharp) preferred
• Experience managing burns, cellulitis, edema, and pressure or venous ulcers preferred
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy care and irrigation preferred
• Experience with neuropathic, arterial, and venous ulcer assessment and management preferred
• Experience performing Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) testing preferred
• References required for consideration

• Work in the Wound Care unit of a hospital and clinic setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Provide wound care treatment and management for patients with a variety of skin integrity and wound-related conditions
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before being eligible
• Background checks with license or background hits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Required to complete pre-start training modules prior to assignment start
