Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Position Summary
Assist management with the supervision of associates in a designated area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques. Resolve member complaints and issues in accordance with company guidelines and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Support the Open Door Policy and participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating associates.
WhatYou'll Do
Provide membership information, process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts, encourage renewals, and promote member sales and marketing events. Complete marketing recaps and other documentation to meet membership goals and promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services. Acknowledge members, identify their needs, assist purchasing decisions, and provide support with self‑service technology, register transactions, and club pickup orders. Manage assumptions, handling claims and returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise, monitoring shrink and damages, and maintaining parking lot cleanliness.
Complete accounting records, files transactions, and produce financial analysis reports. Assist with accounting investigations, prepare daily deposits, oversee cash fund transfers, and protect confidential financial information. Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners to develop and implement processes that meet business needs, monitor progress, and identify improvement opportunities. Promote compliance, ethics, and integrity by applying company policies and the Open Door Policy.
Lead and participate in teams, use resources and tools, determine customer needs, coordinate assignments, and model adaptability to change or new challenges.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.50 to $29.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
Minimum Qualifications- 6 months retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register) AND 6 months customer service experience
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience leading a front‑end team: supervising, hiring, evaluating, mentoring, and managing the workload of others
