Role Description The Merchandise Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Billings, MT, responsible for driving an engaging in-store experience through strong merchandising and product presentation. This role oversees daily floor sets, supports visual standards, and ensures that products are well-organized, sized, and replenished to reflect current brand guidelines. The Merchandise Team Leader partners with store leadership to guide the team, supports customer-facing activities, and helps maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and backroom organization.
This position also assists with training team members on merchandising best practices and collaborates to achieve sales goals while upholding Aerie’s brand values and customer-first mindset.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Experience, with a focus on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Demonstrated Team Leadership abilities in a retail or similar setting, including coaching, mentoring, and supporting team performance.
- Experience with Inventory Management and Retail operations, such as stock organization, replenishment, and basic loss prevention practices.
- Ability to maintain visual merchandising standards, execute floor sets, and follow brand guidelines to showcase product effectively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse team members and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic math and computer skills to support point-of-sale transactions and inventory-related tasks.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- Previous retail or apparel experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent beneficial.
