Flooring Sales & Design Professional

Pierce Flooring & Cabinet Design Center | Billings, Montana

Build Relationships. Create Beautiful Spaces. Build a Career You're Proud Of.

At Pierce Flooring & Cabinet Design Center, we believe flooring is about much more than simply selling a product.

The right floor can completely transform a home or commercial space. It brings together color, texture, function, comfort, durability, and design—and helping a customer make that decision requires someone who can listen, understand their needs, and guide them with confidence.

We are looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven Flooring Sales & Design Professional to join our team.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys sales but wants more than a traditional sales job. You'll work directly with homeowners, builders, contractors, real estate professionals, property managers, and commercial clients—helping them turn ideas, projects, and challenges into finished spaces they love.

If you're competitive, personable, self-motivated, and excited by the idea of building your own book of business while working in a creative, design-focused industry, we would love to meet you.

The Opportunity

As a Flooring Sales & Design Professional, you will own the client experience from the first conversation through the completion of the project.

You'll work with walk-in showroom customers, conduct consultations, visit homes and job sites, develop new relationships within the community, recommend products and design solutions, prepare estimates, and help guide projects through installation.

This is a sales-driven position, but success requires much more than simply closing a transaction.

The most successful person in this role will be someone who knows how to:

  • Build trust quickly
  • Ask great questions and truly understand what a customer needs
  • Make confident recommendations
  • Develop new business opportunities
  • Manage multiple projects and relationships
  • Stay organized and follow through
  • Solve problems when challenges arise
  • Create an experience that brings customers back—and inspires them to refer their friends and family

Your relationships, your sales performance, and the value you create for your clients will directly impact your success and earning potential.

What You'll Do

Sales & Client Relationships

  • Build relationships with homeowners, builders, contractors, real estate professionals, property managers, and commercial clients.
  • Work with showroom customers to understand their project, style preferences, budget, and timeline.
  • Conduct in-home and job-site consultations as needed.
  • Develop new business opportunities through networking, relationship-building, community involvement, and proactive outreach.
  • Build a strong pipeline of repeat and referral business.
  • Present estimates and proposals confidently and professionally.
  • Follow up consistently and strategically to move opportunities forward and close sales.

Flooring & Design

  • Help clients select flooring solutions that fit their lifestyle, design preferences, performance needs, and budget.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations across a variety of flooring products and applications.
  • Guide customers through important considerations such as durability, maintenance, installation requirements, and long-term performance.
  • Help clients bring together colors, textures, patterns, and materials to create beautiful and functional spaces.
  • Take accurate field measurements and gather the information needed to create successful proposals.
  • Review plans, blueprints, and project details when necessary.

Project Ownership & Follow-Through

  • Manage the customer experience from initial consultation through project completion.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project information.
  • Communicate proactively with customers throughout their project.
  • Coordinate with internal team members, installers, contractors, and vendors to help ensure projects move forward successfully.
  • Identify potential challenges early and work collaboratively to find solutions.
  • Build a reputation for exceptional communication, professionalism, and follow-through.
