Safety & Loss Prevention - Double Tree by Hilton Billings
Hotel Equities, a multi‑award‑winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Safety & Loss Prevention team member for the Double Tree by Hilton in Billings, Montana
.
Evening and Overnight shifts - 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am
Job PurposeProvide safety and protection of guests, team members and hotel property. Warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance reassure guests they are making the right choice to stay with us.
Responsibilities- Anticipate potential problems & seek ways to prevent disruptions, injuries, and inappropriate conduct on company premises.
- Keep supervisor promptly informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Perform and complete assigned delivery, maintenance, and custodial duties during shift.
- Perform all duties in a timely and efficient manner according to company policies to achieve overall objectives.
- Maintain familiarity with all hotel disaster & emergency policies, respond immediately to alarms or calls for help, determine course of action, notify authorities, and perform first aid & CPR as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness & orderly condition of public areas through inspections.
- Maintain safe working conditions within the department and hotel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent secondary qualification.
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.
- Prior experience in civilian or military law enforcement, hotel security, or industrial security is a plus.
- Excellent hearing to communicate with guests, employees, managers, and use radio.
- Excellent vision required for emergencies & visual safety inspections.
- Excellent speech & communication skills for use of radio.
- Excellent comprehension & literacy to complete reports, logs.
- Ability to investigate incidents, interview witnesses, draft factual reports.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying objects up to 100 pounds.
- Maintain a professional, neat & well‑groomed appearance per hotel standards.
- Bending & kneeling necessary to administer CPR & First Aid.
- Responsive 100% of time in rotations; no prolonged standing.
- Use stairs only, no elevators, for emergency response.
- Passion for people and service.
- Strong communication skills for guest & employee interaction.
- Reading/writing skills for paperwork, logs, and information updates.
- Basic math skills for handling cash or credit.
- Problem‑solving, reasoning, motivation & training abilities.
- Ability to work flexible nights, weekends, holidays.
- Salary $19.00 hourly.
