Position: UST Installer / Construction Tech

Nwestco is busy and growing in Montana. We’re looking for experienced UST Installers / Construction Techs who want steady work, solid pay, and a company that keeps crews working year-round.

Pay ranges from $26–$32 per hour depending on experience and includes full benefits, PTO, 401(k) with match, plus a company truck, gas card, cell phone, and laptop.

Your Mission

This is hands‑on petroleum construction work. You will:

  • Install and remove underground storage tanks (USTs)
  • Operate excavators, backhoes, and other heavy equipment
  • Install piping, sumps, spill containment, and monitoring systems
  • Assist with tank and line testing
  • Read and follow site plans and blueprints
  • Complete daily reports and compliance paperwork
  • Follow OSHA, EPA, and state safety regulations

You’ll work outdoors on active job sites and be part of a crew that takes pride in doing the job right.

What you bring to the table
  • 2+ years of UST installation, tank removal, or petroleum construction experience
  • Experience operating excavation equipment safely
  • Knowledge of fuel systems, piping, and tank components
  • Ability to read site drawings and follow job specs
  • Strong safety mindset
  • OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER, Confined Space, or UST license (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed

Before You Leap

Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC.

All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following:

  • Ability to pass pre‑employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment drug‑screening and background check. If the position is classified as safety‑sensitive, it requires the applicant to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
