Service Technician - Southwestern BC, Canada

Summary

Strata Products Worldwide (Strata) specializes in safety and collision avoidance technology for industrial environments, including emergency refuge chambers and wireless communications for underground mining and tunneling. The Service Technician will install, service, and maintain collision avoidance camera systems on mobile machinery at marine terminals, mining sites, and construction sites, leading installation teams and providing technical support to customers.

• Install and commission collision avoidance camera systems on various types of mobile machinery.
• Lead installation teams during project deployments at customer sites.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for camera systems.
• Ensure proper wiring and electrical requirements are met during installations.
• Conduct inspections and repairs of installed systems as needed.
• Work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and provide product training when necessary.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing professional service.
• Provide post-installation troubleshooting support as needed.
• Collaborate with Program Management to update installation and troubleshooting manuals.
• Analyze system data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for safety improvements within maritime operations.
• Create detailed reports and dashboards that visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights for stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

The qualifications below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential duties of this position.

• Hands‑on experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of camera systems, electrical wiring, and electronic equipment.
• Strong understanding of power requirements, including power draw, voltage, and wiring configurations.
• Experience with mobile machinery used in marine terminals, mining sites, or construction environments.
• Knowledge of basic TCP/IP networking and Wi‑Fi protocols (preferred but not essential).
• Experience leading small teams during installation projects (plus).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience (if applicable).
