Sterling Crane LLCJob Purpose
The crane operator is required to safely operate cranes efficiently and maintain a standard of accuracy that aligns with the company procedures and customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities- Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines ensuring the right selection and set up is made regarding crane, lift or hoist
- Inspects and assesses ground conditions as well as any possible overhead obstructions
- Maintain equipment through daily inspections, to include performance of routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain logs and records of operational activities
- Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience working with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers and mobile cranes
- Current TWIC card
- Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements
- Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime, when necessary
- Maintain a current NCCCO Crane Operators License for qualified equipment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials or instructions
- Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records
- Must have strong ability work well within a team environment
- Strong depth perception and quick reaction time
- Ability to pick up, lift, carry, and move a minimum of 65lbs.
- Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain all logs and operate machinery
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold
Daily Per Diem.
