Founded in 1954, Sterling Crane has been a leading provider in the heavy lift industry offering operated and bare rentals, sales, parts, and service to customers. The company maintains a large inventory of modern lifting equipment in North America, with more than 1000 units. We are seeking Project Crane Riggers for our Montana TA.

Responsibilities
  • Efficiently and safely operate a variety of specialized machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, ensuring correct selection and setup of crane, lift, or hoist
  • Inspect and assess ground conditions as well as overhead obstructions
  • Maintain equipment through daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs
  • Maintain logs and records of operational activities
  • Maintain visual and radio communications with ground operators according to best practices and safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with rough terrain cranes, carry decks, crawlers, and mobile cranes
  • Current TWIC card
  • Successfully pass post-offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements
  • Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work overtime when necessary
  • Maintain a current NCCCR Crane Operators License for qualified equipment
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, materials, or instructions
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, safety regulations, and to maintain records
  • Strong ability to work well within a team environment
Physical Requirements
  • Strong depth perception and quick reaction time
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 65 lbs
  • Visual capabilities to follow hand signals, maintain logs, and operate machinery
  • Ability to sit for long periods
  • Ability to work in varying weather, including extreme heat and cold
