Komatsu is looking for a National Field Service Technician. Your main responsibilities will include assembling new heavy mining equipment on-site, primarily Komatsu rope shovels and electric drive truck assemblies, and performing mechanical assembly work in demanding field environments across the West and Southwest, including Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, California, and other Western U.S. locations.

• Assemble new heavy mining equipment, such as Komatsu rope shovels and electric drive truck assemblies.
• Conduct field mechanical maintenance and repairs on various mining equipment, ensuring all tasks are performed to the highest standards.
• Execute precise welding operations in the field following safety and quality protocols.
• Travel throughout the U.S. to provide on-site support, troubleshooting, and repair services.
• Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Perform field machining activities using specialized tools to meet project needs.
• Travel 6 weeks at a time, working 13–14 hour days.

• Mining, construction, oil field, or other heavy industrial experience.
• Welding experience (primary desired skill set).
• 5G welding experience preferred.

• Certification in AWS D1.1 with successful completion of the FCAW welding test.
• Current MSHA training certification (preferred).
• Completion of rigging training, enabling competent and safe lifting and rigging activities.
