Rigging Specialist
Responsible for moving heavy materials and equipment around jobsites using rigging gear.
Responsibilities- Select cables, ropes, pullup, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved.
- Attaches pullup and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceiling, and gin pole boom with bolts and clamps.
- Attaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wire rope, and chains to crane hook.
- Gives direction to operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled.
- Sets up, braces, and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.
- NCCER Certifications
- Operate heavy equipment machinery, and dismantle the rigging after the job.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
- Knowledge of rigging equipment, excellent space awareness, and good communication skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments.
