About the PositionThe Shop Foreman is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for supervising, mentoring, and supporting our diesel technicians. This is a working foreman role—you will assist with diagnostics and repairs while helping the shop operate safely, efficiently, and productively.
The ideal candidate is an experienced diesel technician who enjoys developing others, solving problems, and helping a team deliver quality work and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and provide day‑to‑day direction to diesel technicians
- Mentor technicians and assist with challenging diagnostics and repairs
- Perform truck repairs and maintenance as needed
- Help coordinate workflow and ensure work is completed efficiently
- Promote quality workmanship and excellent customer service
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive shop
- Ensure company safety policies and procedures are followed
- Communicate effectively with technicians, managers, and customers
- Maintain dependable and regular attendance
- At least three years of diesel technician experience or related certification and education
- Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer‑service skills
- Detail‑oriented and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record review
- $85,000–$110,000 annual salary, depending on experience
