Sr. Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Booneville, Mississippi. As a Sr. Accountant, you will have crucial responsibilities in managing and maintaining our financial records. This role is instrumental in ensuring the financial health of our organization.

• Engage in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify our financial transactions.
• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is up to date and accurate.
• Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create reports and present financial information.
• Oversee month-end close activities and prepare financial reports for management.
• Utilize Net Suite, Oracle, and SAP to manage financial data and perform accounting functions.
• Participate in month-end close activities and ensure all accounting tasks are completed within the deadline.
• Stay updated with accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance in all accounting tasks.
• Train and support junior staff members in various accounting tasks and use of financial software.

• Must have a minimum of one year of experience as an Accountant.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation.
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliation.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations.
• Knowledge of general ledger.
• Proficiency in journal entries.
• Must have experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in month-end close procedures.
• Familiarity with Net Suite software.
• Knowledge of Oracle software.
• Experience with SAP software is highly desirable.
• Must have participated in month-end close activities before.
