Senior Accountant - Accounting

Job Description

Responsible for activities related to the management of all aspects of general ledger activity within areas of responsibility. Responsible for all functions related to routine financial statement generation. Assists other staff and accountants.

• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Maintain general ledger activity related to areas of responsibility
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statement packages/information as needed
  • Perform routine and ad hoc analytics as directed
  • Perform in leadership role for other employees and accountants
  • Participate in other projects as required

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Experience:

7 years of previous experience of a nature which will enable the employee to function independently in an Accounting atmosphere. Extensive knowledge of computer-based accounting systems

Skills:

• Extensive familiarity with computer-based accounting systems
• Advanced MS Excel skills and basic accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of GAAP
