The Management department at Ole Miss has a notably successful faculty. Our faculty are part of international editorial boards and the leadership for the Southern Management Association. In the last five years, our faculty have published in Academy of Management Journal, Strategy Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of International Business Studies and Organization Science.
Incoming faculty are expected to continue this productivity and can expect robust support to do so.

The Management Department of the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a faculty position in OB/HR/Management at our main campus in Oxford, Mississippi. This is a tenure‑track position beginning Fall 2027, and is open for the rank of Assistant Professor of Management.
Job DescriptionTeaching responsibilities may include undergraduate, MBA, and/or doctoral‑level courses in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and related areas consistent with the candidate’s expertise and departmental needs. Successful applicants are expected to maintain an active research agenda with the potential to publish in high‑quality scholarly journals, and to provide service to the university and the profession. The normal teaching load for a research‑active faculty member is 2/2 (6 credit hours per semester, Fall and Spring) with the option to teach intersession, summer courses and/or online courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability.
Required QualificationsTo be considered for this position, the applicant must have an earned doctorate degree (or hold ABD status with expected degree completion prior to August 2027) in Management or a related discipline. Applicants should possess a track record of original research and publication in elite management journals and must demonstrate a commitment to world‑class scholarship, effective teaching, and service.
