Healthcare Continuing Education Adjunct/(PT) Faculty Pool
Overview:
The School of Nursing and Health Professions seeks qualified individuals with healthcare-related backgrounds to assist part‑time with providing quality instruction and supervision to students enrolled in non‑credit training areas of continuing education and professional development.
- Dental Assistant with Dental Radiology
- IV Therapy Certification & Recertification – LPN Expanded Role
- Effectively teach assigned courses.
- Structure and supervise learning experiences in the classroom, labs, and/or clinical agencies.
- Serve as a professional role model.
- Assist non‑credit students in achieving course objectives.
- Set up and take down classroom materials and equipment as needed.
- Provide discipline in the classroom as needed.
- Prepare lessons and presentations for continuing education and non‑credit coursework.
- Maintain and organize the necessary required records.
- Assist in the promotion and support of the program including recruitment activities.
- Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of communications within the program, the College, and community.
- Establish a means of being accessible to meet individual student needs.
- Provide grade reports and feedback to the students in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with students, college staff and administrators.
- Maintain appropriate classroom, lab, clinical hours proportionate to the instructional assignment.
- Perform other related work duties as assigned.
- A valid, current, unencumbered license and/or certification above the level of the training.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the field of study.
- Personal computer applications to office operations.
- Effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience.
- Continuing education training.
- Familiar with online teaching technologies for class discussions and online learning platforms.
