Job Summary
Essential job functions include supervising all wagering policies of the Race & Sports books, ensuring all AML & Title 31 procedures are followed and tracked accurately, supervising the function of all personnel in Sports book Operations to insure maximum productivity, ensuring betting limits guidelines are followed, insuring customer recognition and development are foremost duties for all personnel, using tools available appropriately, ensuring that departmental procedures conform to all regulatory requirements and provide maximum security for the company's assets, assuring facilities and equipment are available and functioning properly, resolving any disputes by following posted house rules and working with local regulatory bodies to ensure compliance, greeting customers, inputting betting information into computer, printing ticket, accepting money and giving ticket and change to customers, accurately maintaining bank, verifying winning tickets, handling and solving any concerns and questions by customers, explaining wagering information when needed, maintaining and updating betting boards or Televisions for customers to view, meeting the attendance guidelines of the job and adhering to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
WhatYou Will Need
Qualifications include being a sports enthusiast and at least 6 months previous cash handling experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees, excellent verbal and written skills in English, ability to explain wagering to new guests, excellent organizational skills, 2 years supervisory experience preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required. Physical, mental and environmental demands include being able to sit and stand for long periods of time, maneuver to all areas of the casino, lift up to 40 pounds, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items, walk and be on feet for long periods of time, possess a sense of urgency and keep pace with peak levels of business and customer demands, work in stressful situations with constant public contact and frequent interruptions, possess basic math skills, read, write, speak and understand English, respond to visual and aural cues in a loud, fast paced environment, tolerate secondary tobacco smoke, work any day, any shift.
