Summary: Lead and coach member records team members and title team members to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient performance of daily functions. Perform all necessary functions of Member Records, loan payoff processing, and title release activities. Actively promote quality service to CU membership. Respond to questions, concerns, and complaints within scope of authority. Assist with quality assurance, monitoring, evaluating, and training of staff.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties related to the department’s functions accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Monitor activities to ensure quality service standards; resolve problems and complaints quickly.
  • Authorize exceptions to policy or procedures when warranted within the scope of authority.
  • Prepare and update department procedures.
  • Generate and review management reports around production indicators and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor daily operations related to title reports, loan payoff processing, and title release activities.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for member records, loan payoff, and title release initiatives; provide backup to junior staff and managers as needed.
  • Act as liaison for other business units regarding member records inquiries.
  • Ensure reports are completed and exceptions resolved in a timely manner.
  • Safeguard inventory and oversee equipment and supplies; manage outside vendor software systems relevant to daily work.
  • Adhere to all Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Supervisory Responsibilities

Performs supervisory duties in accordance with the credit union’s policies and procedures and applicable laws. Involves recruitment, interview, selection, onboarding, training and development; planning, assigning and overseeing work; evaluating performance; coaching; administering recognition or corrective actions; and supporting employment actions in accordance with policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years in Financial Industry preferred.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years Collateral Management experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to process titles and UCC filings in all states where the credit union does loans with minimal assistance.
  • Proven ability to solve problems; great accuracy and attention to detail required.
Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in performing essential duties; ability to communicate clearly and effectively; strong attention to detail; problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Education
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
Experience and Other Requirements
  • Experience as listed under Qualifications.
  • Proven ability to work with title and collateral records; experience with loan payoff and title release processes.
  • Travel may be required up to 10%.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient in computers and standard office software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
