Salary: $70K-$80K annually
Job SummaryOversee daily production operations in advanced composite and polymer fabrication, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production schedules. Lead and mentor production teams, coordinate workflow, manage equipment and materials, and drive continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and output. Collaborate with engineering and operations to support specialized manufacturing processes and high-demand programs.
Responsibilities- Understand employees’ strengths and weaknesses and provide individualized support
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new talent; participate in job fairs as needed
- Coach, mentor, and offboard employees when necessary to maintain team effectiveness
- Assess employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and complete timely 30/60/90-day and annual evaluations
- Develop and execute cross-training programs to grow employee skills and meet company needs
- Ensure production deadlines, quality standards, and performance goals are consistently met
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout production
- Organize, monitor, and manage workflow while tracking budgeted hours
- Maintain MIPs and perform redlines as required to support accurate production
- Adapt to changing project priorities and delegate effectively to resolve conflicts and challenges
- Communicate clearly across departments regarding project status, priorities, and needs
- Foster positive interdepartmental relationships and promote company culture
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and climb as necessary to perform inspections and tasks
- Ascend and descend vertical ladders, stand and walk for 10+ hours, and work in confined spaces
- Lift, push, pull, or carry loads up to approximately 50 pounds as required
- Use hands and fingers for handling, reaching, and performing repetitive motions
- Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and repeated movements
- Maintain vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
