Hot Works Operator – 2nd Shift Division

Location:

Newton, MS. Onsite 2nd Shift, 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The Hot Works Operator is responsible for filling in for any of the following positions:
Air Arc, Weld Repair, and/or Overlay welder. The role includes identifying and correcting casting defects using the MIG welding process, arcing fins, contact notches, and other irregularities off castings. The operator will also run manual and/or robotic welding equipment and perform other tasks required in the department such as 6s.

• Master an Arc rod holder
• Operate manual and robotic welding equipment
• Lift parts that weigh up to 1500 lbs using a hoist
• Stand for an average of 10 hours per day
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors and a world‑class safety culture

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in MIG welding, air arc, casting repair, and/or robotic welding
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical documents
• Proficiency in using back, shoulders, hands and wrists for an extended period of time
