Our client, a growing OTC pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations across both liquid and solid oral dose manufacturing within a GMP-regulated environment.
This is not a maintenance leadership role. This is an opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader to help shape the future of a well-established pharmaceutical operation by improving accountability, strengthening production performance, implementing operational metrics, and developing high-performing teams.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Manufacturing Manager will oversee production operations across multiple shifts and product lines while serving as a visible leader on the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving operational challenges, and has a proven ability to improve performance, structure, and culture.

- Lead daily manufacturing operations across liquid and solid oral dose production
- Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to production supervisors, superintendents, leads, coordinators, and operators
- Establish and monitor production KPIs, operational metrics, and performance standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and workforce effectiveness
- Partner closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, SOPs, and company quality standards
- Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies
Support organizational development, succession planning, and leadership coaching efforts - Maintain a strong floor presence and actively engage with production teams across shifts
- Champion a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and operational excellence
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience within OTC pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, dietary supplement, or closely related GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
- Direct experience supporting solid oral dose manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and FDA-regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience leading production teams across multiple shifts
- Demonstrated success implementing operational improvements, KPIs, and performance management initiatives
- Proven ability to coach leaders, develop teams, and drive accountability
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Experience with in small-to-mid-sized pharmaceutical manufacturing organizations
- Background leading operational turnaround or culture improvement initiatives
- Experience managing manufacturing teams through organizational growth or transformation
- Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies

- Competitive base salary starting at $100,000 per year (negotiable commensurate to experience)

- Salaried employees receive PTO plus approximately 22 company-observed holiday closure days annually, including extended shutdown periods in the spring and fall.
