The Certified LPN at North Mississippi Health Services plays a vital role in providing a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care, adhering to hospital/departmental policies and procedures. Their responsibilities include patient care, documentation, teaching, and performing IV therapy, ensuring age-appropriate care and maintaining positive relations with patients, families, and medical staff. The LPN must possess problem‑solving skills to handle stressful situations and respond to changing patient needs effectively.

• Patient Care – Provides a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care in compliance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
• Documentation – Assist in maintaining patient records through daily nursing summaries, Medicare charting, acute care charting and accurate medication administration records.
• Nursing Care Plan – Contributes to nursing care plan.
• Teaching – Provides patient/family teaching necessary for continuing care during and after discharge.
• IV Therapy – Performs IV therapy utilizing hospital guidelines.

• Education
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Required)
  • Other (Experience) – Must meet continuing education requirements as defined.
• Licenses and Certifications
  • LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse – State Licensure
  • CPR – Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
