Armed Transport Guard Key Responsibilities

• Deliver or pick up and reconcile the valuables at a customer’s location
• Maintain radio communication with the vehicle crew and dispatch personnel to ensure a secure transaction
• Maintain the highest degree of security and control of the customer shipment at all times
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while performing daily customer interactions
• Remain alert and prepared at all times, not only protecting the crew or premises against attack but also watching for accidental mishandling of packages that might result in a loss
• Reconcile customer deposits and receipts of all valuables handled throughout the daily scheduled run
• Observe all security and safety procedures
• Be able to work weekends, holidays and/or extended hours
• Cross‑train and perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum of 6 months experience in at least one of the following: messenger/courier positions, face‑to‑face customer service position, security experience, military experience or protective services experience
• A valid driver’s license
• Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
• A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds

• Previous armored car messenger experience
• Basic math skills
• High school diploma or GED

• Excellent ethics and integrity
• High attention to detail
• Collaborative work style
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to work independently
• Professional, positive demeanor
