Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Screening Associate in Newton, MS
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. This part‑time role allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. In this position, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents.
You will provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and responsive support while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate$16.25 / Hour
Job ScheduleThursday: 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
Friday: 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
Saturday: 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs (preferred).
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal may consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
