Position: Paradise Pier Supervisor - Paradise Pier Fun Park

Position Summary:

The Paradise Pier Fun Park Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily attraction operations with a strong emphasis on safety, staff training, and guest experience. This leadership role ensures all rides and attractions operate in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and training standards. The Supervisor leads, trains, and supports attraction staff while maintaining a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and demonstrate strong leadership, safety awareness, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety Oversight and Ride Operations:
    • Ensure all rides and attractions are operated in full compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct and document pre-opening and ongoing safety inspections of rides, equipment, and surrounding areas.
    • Monitor ride operations throughout shifts to ensure safe guest behavior and proper staff procedures.
    • Immediately respond to, document, and escalate ride malfunctions, hazards, or safety incidents.
    • Enforce height, weight, health, and safety restrictions consistently and professionally.
  • Staff Training and Development:
    • Train new and existing team members on ride operations, safety protocols, emergency procedures, and guest service standards.
    • Ensure all staff are properly certified and signed off before independently operating attractions.
    • Conduct ongoing coaching, refresher training, and performance feedback focused on safety and compliance.
    • Lead safety briefings and pre-shift meetings to reinforce expectations and address operational updates.
  • Emergency Response and Incident Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact during ride stoppages, guest incidents, or emergency situations.
    • Execute emergency, evacuation, and incident response procedures calmly and efficiently.
    • Complete accurate incident reports and participate in post-incident reviews and safety improvements.
  • Guest Experience and Crowd Management:
    • Support front-line staff in delivering outstanding guest service while prioritizing safety.
    • Address guest concerns, complaints, or questions professionally and promptly.
    • Assist with crowd control, queue management, and capacity monitoring to maintain safe guest flow.
    • Support special events, group functions, and peak attendance periods.
  • Facility Standards and Maintenance Coordination:
    • Ensure attraction areas, queue lines, and work spaces are clean, organized, and hazard‑free.
    • Coordinate with maintenance and management teams regarding ride issues or facility concerns.
    • Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to cleanliness standards.
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Lead by example, maintaining a calm, professional, and safety‑focused presence at all times.
    • Communicate clearly with management, maintenance, safety teams, and frontline staff.
    • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and daily operational planning as assigned.
Requirements Qualifications

Age Requirement:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in a theme park, amusement park, water park, or similar environment preferred.
  • Prior experience in ride operations, safety, training, or guest services strongly preferred.
Skills
  • Strong leadership and team training abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high commitment to safety.
  • Clear communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies or high‑pressure situations.
  • Reliable, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Certifications
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred; may be required).
  • Ride operation, safety, and supervisory training will be provided.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist guests and staff during ride loading, unloading, or emergency situations.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to remain alert, focused, and attentive for long periods.
Work Environment
  • Primarily outdoor amusement park environment.
  • Exposure to noise, crowds, moving machinery, and varying weather conditions.
  • Flexible availability required, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and peak seasons.
