Skilled Laborer

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Skilled Laborer with a strong interest and experience in carpentry to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of construction tasks while supporting carpenters in residential, commercial, and renovation projects. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist carpenters with framing, installation, and finishing work.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other building materials according to specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment around job sites.
• Prepare and clean work areas before, during, and after construction activities.
• Assist with installing doors, windows, cabinets, trim, drywall, and other carpentry-related components.
• Follow blueprints, sketches, and supervisor instructions to complete assigned tasks.
• Perform demolition and site preparation as needed.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Work collaboratively with crew members, subcontractors, and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math.
• Knowledge of common carpentry tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of carpentry or general construction experience.
• Experience with framing, trim work, or remodeling projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
