Role & responsibilities

Following is the JD for pump operator - 2 nos in Burkina Faso

• Operate concrete pump machinery, including boom pumps, line pumps, and trailer pumps.
• Set up the pump equipment safely before concrete pouring begins.
• Connect and check hoses, pipes, clamps, and other pump parts.
• Control the flow of concrete to the required location on site.
• Communicate clearly with site supervisors, concrete truck drivers, and workers placing concrete.
• Inspect equipment before and after use to make sure it is safe and working properly.
• Clean the pump, pipes, and hoses after each job to prevent blockages.
• Carry out basic maintenance and report mechanical faults.
• Follow health and safety rules at all times.
• Make sure the work area is safe and that the pump is stable before operation.
• Keep records of work completed, equipment condition, and any issues.

• Experience operating concrete pumps or similar construction equipment.
• Good understanding of construction site safety.
• Ability to control machinery carefully and accurately.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to identify equipment problems quickly.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Valid operator license or certification, if required.
• Knowledge of concrete handling and pumping procedures.
