BRC is an intermediate care facility for IDD individuals aged 21 and over. The position will be located in the Maintenance Department in Simpson, MS. For more information, contact HR at  extension 75079.

First-level vocational position accountable for performing various, singularly focused, and basic manual tasks that can be learned with short on‑the‑job training. Assists journey‑level employees and follows specific and detailed procedures and practices as instructed. Tasks performed require use of basic tools and equipment under supervision. This position is a hybrid role that will include other maintenance tasks as assigned and not limited to pest control duties and responsibilities.

• Works under supervision of Certified Pesticide Commercial Applicator
• Inspects buildings for signs of pest infestation
• Applies pesticides in and around buildings and other structures
• Sets traps to remove, control, or eliminate pests
• Carries out pest management plans
• Operates and maintains pest control equipment
• Organizes and maintains storage of pesticides and pesticide equipment, overseeing proper storage and cleanup
• Drives truck equipped with power spraying or fogging equipment
• Works in compliance with pesticide laws and regulations and keeps records of site treatments
• Other tasks assigned may include grounds keeping and landscaping work, assisting in skilled trade areas such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical or other general maintenance areas
