While the primary target is the Assistant Professor rank, exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level with a well‑established research program and strong, sustained extramural funding will also be considered, contingent on qualifications and budgetary approval.

The successful candidate will help advance Watson College's commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive academic environment and will engage in collaborative initiatives across Binghamton University.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering/Science, or a closely related field by spring of 2026.
  • Commitment to excellence in research, teaching, mentoring, and inclusive academic culture.
  • Record of scholarship as evidenced by peer‑reviewed publications and citations.
  • Teaching experience at the undergraduate/graduate levels.
  • Potential to secure extramural funding.
  • Potential to build a visible research program and to collaborate across disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications (to Be Considered For Associate Professor)
  • Nationally or internationally recognized research record in QIST.
  • Evidence of sustained extramural funding and a well‑established, high‑impact research program.
