Position DescriptionThe Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Binghamton University invites applications for one or more Robert Riley or Allen Ziebur Visiting Assistant Professorships. Pending approval, these positions would start in the Fall semester of 2026.
The Robert Riley Visiting Assistant Professorship (RVAP) is a postdoctoral position offered to recent PhDs with outstanding research potential. The focus of the Allen Ziebur Visiting Assistant Professorship (ZVAP) is primarily on teaching and it is offered to recent PhDs with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
These postdoctoral positions are open to all areas of mathematics and statistics represented in the department. A successful candidate is required to have a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field by Summer 2026.
