Job Description
The Department of Mechanical Technology at SUNY Broome Community College is seeking a talented and experienced Adjunct Instructor to join our team. We're looking for a highly qualified individual to teach and mentor students entering the Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Technician career path. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with expertise in areas such as circuit analysis, electronics, and control systems.
Responsibilities- Creating Syllabus.
- Teaching under the guidance of the department chairperson.
- Assessing student learning outcomes.
- Utilizing current learning management system technology (Brightspace) in the performance of job duties.
- Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Fulfilling other duties as outlined in the Faculty contract.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Robotics Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Mechanical Curriculum
Experience:
Proficiency with core mechanical course curriculum with labs and classroom material preparation. - CNC Programming
Experience:
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), as well as knowledge of materials, machine operations, and production processes. - Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Teaching core curriculum for Mechanical Technology such as Statics, Dynamics, Material Science with lab components, but not limited to these courses.
- Teaching Precision Manufacturing, CNC Programming (G-code) with imports from various CAD Software. Experience with Haas tooling.
- Teaching Tool Carousel Programming including Print-to-Part.
