Part Time Adjunct- Computer Science

Job Description

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for part‑time adjunct faculty to teach a variety of Computer Science courses within the Computer Science (CST) department. Courses include but are not limited to:
Computer Applications, Problem Solving and Communication Tools, Networking, and Computer Security. Additional courses may exist for various programming languages, small system designs, and digital logic.

Applications are accepted on a continuous basis. Candidates are contacted and hired as opportunities arise, depending on the college’s needs.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an appropriate field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Three (3) years of teaching experience and/or a combination of teaching and programming is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable in the learner‑centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.

Offers of employment will be conditional upon the result of a satisfactory, required pre‑employment standard background check.
