Job Description
The Department of Electrical Technology at SUNY Broome Community College is seeking a talented and experienced Adjunct Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses and mentor students entering the Electrical Engineering Technician career path. The candidate should have a strong background in electrical engineering technology and expertise in circuit analysis, electronics, and control systems.
Responsibilities- Creating syllabus
- Teaching under the guidance of the department chairperson
- Helping students master course content
- Assessing student learning outcomes
- Utilizing current learning management system technology (Brightspace)
- Maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics
- Fulfilling other duties as outlined in the faculty contract
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Applicants should be comfortable in the learner‑centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Offers of employment will be conditional upon the result of a satisfactory, required pre-employment standard background check.
