Literacy Tutors assist students in reaching their personal literacy goals. A student and tutor are paired and then can choose how and where to meet. Two hours of tutoring a week per student is required. A six‑month commitment is required.
We also have tutoring opportunities in our drop‑in labs. This is a good opportunity for tutors who may not be able to take on a one‑on‑one student due to time commitments.
In order to become a tutor, a candidate must be 18 years of age or older and have at least a high school diploma or GED/TASC.
Training is online.
