NYS Certified Library Teacher
BT BOCES is seeking a NYS certified Library Teacher to join our Virtual Learning Academy.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering two live virtual library lessons per week:
- One 40-minute lesson for students in Grades 4-5
- One 40-minute lesson for students in Grade 6
- Supporting students' reading, research, and digital literacy skills through virtual library instruction and resources.
- Managing the VLA's SORA online library account
Live instruction takes place during the school day between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The position requires approximately 8-10 hours per week, including planning, instruction, and library management responsibilities. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about literacy, technology, and engaging students in an online setting.
