Desired Qualifications And Experience- Valid certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
- Experience working with children or adolescents who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Proficiency in various communication modes, including American Sign Language (ASL), spoken English, or other suitable methods
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff and related service providers
- Strong advocacy and instructional skills to tailor educational programming
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs and goals of individual students
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments per their educational plans
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with students' individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure appropriate accommodations and supports
- Monitor and report on student progress toward academic and social-emotional goals
- Foster an inclusive, accessible classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision-making
