HVAC Estimator

We are an established mechanical contractor delivering high-quality HVAC and mechanical building services on commercial Design & Build projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced HVAC / Mechanical Estimator to strengthen our pre-construction team.

You will be responsible for pricing and supporting the successful delivery of commercial mechanical packages, working closely with internal design, commercial, and project delivery teams from early-stage concepts through to contract award.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate estimates for HVAC and mechanical services on commercial Design & Build projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and employer’s requirements
• Develop cost plans from concept, schematic, and tender-stage designs
• Price mechanical systems including HVAC, heating, ventilation, chilled water, pipework, and associated plant
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining compliance and performance
• Prepare tender submissions, clarifications, and cost breakdowns
• Assess project risks, opportunities, and commercial viability
• Support smooth handover from pre-construction to delivery teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical or HVAC Estimator within a mechanical contracting environment
• Strong Design & Build experience on commercial projects
• Solid technical understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services
• Ability to price from limited or evolving design information
• Good knowledge of building regulations and industry standards
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel
• Confident communicator with clients, consultants, and supply chain
