About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious systems engineering professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have the ability to take ownership of hard problems and drive to a solution, while working in a team environment.

This role is for a candidate who is self-motivated, exhibits a positive approach, has a strong work ethic and demonstrates strategic big picture thinking.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to establish architecture content and develop solutions that achieve customer needs.
• Work in a team environment, throughout the lifecycle of the program, using either Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
• Conduct engineering system development tasks including system requirements analysis, system architecture and design, preliminary design, critical design, system integration support, test procedure development, formal verification, and formal validation.
• Interpret and analyze customer requirements and CONOPS, defining the system-level architecture, and allocating subsystem requirements.
• Perform system-level analyses, determine and undertake necessary trade studies, define and allocate the functional requirements to subsystem.
• Understand and implement systems engineering processes on programs and projects.
• Create and update essential engineering documents including specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations.
• Ensure all program requirements are met, program risks are identified and mitigated, and company processes are followed.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent education and work experience
• Minimum of 10 years systems experience
• Experience supporting military or defense programs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
• Experience with the full Systems Development Life Cycle.
• Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.
