We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager I to join our team at K&A Engineering in Binghamton, NY
. These individuals will play a key role in executing the established Training Yard curriculum for both Line and Substation apprentices. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, hands‑on yard training, and in‑division field instruction.

• Deliver training in accordance with the established Training Yard schedule for Line and Substation apprentices
• Conduct classroom instruction, including weekly knowledge assessments
• Program execution & support
• Ensure training content is delivered consistently and aligns with established curriculum standards
• Monitor apprentice progress and provide feedback to support skill development
• Maintain accurate training records, assessment results, and competency documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure training materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained
• Reinforce all safety protocols and ensure apprentices adhere to company and regulatory safety standards
• Identify and address safety concerns during training activities
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Facilitate hands‑on yard‑based practical exercises to validate apprentice competency
• Travel within the division to support in‑division field instruction as needed

• Experience in utility operations, electrical line work, substation work, or related field
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Ability to lead hands‑on training in both classroom and field environments
• Demonstrated understanding of safety practices and regulatory requirements
• Ability to travel within the division as needed
• Prior experience training apprentices or leading technical instruction
• Project management experience within a utility or industrial environment
• Familiarity with structured training programs or curriculum delivery

Pay Range: $98,000 to $110,000/ annually
