The Simulation and Training Solutions group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineering professional to develop, modify, integrate, and test aircraft and ground vehicle training simulators for military and commercial use.
What You Will Do- Specialize in a specific electrical hardware design area or act as a generalist across multiple areas.
- Contribute to hardware engineering requirements capture, analysis, and derivation.
- Design, analyze, integrate, and document hardware systems of moderate to high complexity.
- Work closely with Mechanical, Software, and Systems Engineering to ensure electrical design aligns with project/product approaches.
- Participate in cross‑functional team efforts in integration and qualification testing of training systems of moderate to high complexity.
- Estimate, track, own, and report status relating to technical performance, cost, schedule, and risk for assigned work scope.
- Possibly lead cross‑functional Mechanical and Electrical teams in a Hardware Project Engineer role.
- Travel as necessary to customer sites, training activities, and trade shows.
- Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Experience with AutoCAD CAD tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in design, documentation, and integration of electrical items of moderate to high complexity.
- Active DoD security clearance.
- Training Simulator design experience.
- Experience with military contracting programs.
- Experience with Earned Value Project Management and Cost Account Management activities.
- Ability to shift focus quickly between high‑level and low‑level details.
