We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to drive the growth of Gemlock grooved fire protection products throughout the Northeast region. This role combines technical expertise with strategic sales execution, closely collaborating with engineers, contractors, distributors, and end users to promote Gemlock solutions and ensure successful integration into fire protection applications.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development & Market Growth: Expand market share and achieve sales targets for Gemlock in your territory, identifying and securing new business opportunities with owners, engineering firms, and contractors.
- Technical Sales & Product Promotion: Present Gemlock solutions to engineering offices and contractors, influencing specifications and project designs. Conduct technical seminars and product demonstrations to enhance understanding and utilization of Gemlock products.
- Territory Management & Reporting: Maintain a structured weekly reporting process on activity updates and market intelligence. Develop and execute sales plans aligned with company objectives.
- Distributor & Contractor Engagement: Build strong relationships with local distributors, providing them with product information, pricing, and sales tools. Assist in joint sales efforts and visit job sites to ensure proper product application.
- Quality & Customer Support: Collaborate with the Engineering Department and provide field feedback to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Required:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Fire Protection, or related field preferred).
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with piping systems and fire protection products.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time) across the Northeast.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with residence within the Northeast region.
Preferred:
- Experience in fire protection, mechanical piping, or construction industries.
- Knowledge of grooved piping systems and industry standards (NFPA, UL/FM).
- Prior experience with engineering firms, contractors, or distribution networks.
- Increased specification and acceptance of Gemlock products across firms and major contractors.
- Strong distributor engagement and improved product pull-through.
- Consistent achievement of sales targets and territory growth.
- High customer satisfaction through technical expertise and responsive support.
$85, per year
