Location: City of Binghamton
Keystone Associates Architects, Engineers and Surveyors, LLC (Keystone) is a multi-disciplined design firm headquartered in Binghamton, New York, with branch offices in Cortland and Monticello, New York and an additional presence in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. For over 30 years, we have been dedicated to delivering professional services across upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania.
We are currently looking for an Environmental Professional to join the firm. This role requires a self-sufficient professional capable of independently managing fieldwork, analysis, and reporting for a variety of consulting projects.
Responsibilities- Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and hazardous building material inspections (including asbestos, lead-based paint, underground storage tanks and other potential hazards)
- Conduct indoor air quality (IAQ), water intrusion and mold assessments
- Collect soil, air, water and bulk material samples in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate field documentation and manage assigned project tasks
- Analyze environmental data and prepare final client reports including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments
- Communicate directly with clients and provide guidance on environmental risks and mitigation strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant environmental consulting experience
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Proficiency with environmental sampling methods, equipment, and applicable regulations
- Candidate must qualify as an Environmental Professional (EP) as defined by applicable ASTM standards
- Relevant certifications/licenses (asbestos, lead, etc.) strongly preferred
