Precast Engineer

Binghamton's position within the Southern Tier provides access to a wide range of transportation, bridge, and infrastructure improvement projects, creating opportunities for engineers who want hands‑on involvement in the design and delivery of critical structural components.

As a member of Fisher's precast engineering team, you'll support the development of concrete solutions that help transportation and infrastructure projects move efficiently from concept through construction.

• Execute precast engineering and design assignments for civil and structural projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop structurally sound, cost‑effective, and visually appealing precast concrete designs.
• Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations to evaluate performance under various loading conditions.
• Select materials and components that meet project requirements for strength, durability, and sustainability.
• Prepare accurate drawings, plans, and specifications that align with industry standards and project requirements.
• Support project cost estimating efforts for precast materials and components.
• Assist Project Managers and Designers throughout project development and support QA/QC processes to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 0–5 years minimum transportation and/or structural engineering experience.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in RISA3D.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality work and solve problems using critical thinking and sound engineering judgment.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and take ownership of assigned work.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
• Adaptability and commitment to continuous improvement.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Concrete design engineering coursework.
• Concrete design engineering experience.

Salary range: $72,000-$85,000
