Binghamton, NY Area | Direct Hire | $63,000–$85,000
Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Test Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established global manufacturer in the Binghamton, NY area.
This is a strong opportunity for an engineer with hands‑on test, validation, or electrical testing experience who enjoys troubleshooting, analyzing results, and working with high‑voltage/high‑current systems.

- Perform mechanical and electrical component testing
- Conduct verification and qualification testing, including insulation resistance, dielectric strength, partial discharge, and end‑of‑life/degradation testing
- Develop, update, and maintain test procedures
- Analyze test data and identify performance or failure trends
- Prepare clear technical reports, engineering memos, and test documentation
- Support failure analysis, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving efforts
- Maintain complete and accurate records of testing activities and results
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 2+ years of Test, Validation, or similar engineering experience
- Strong understanding of electrical principles involving high‑voltage and high‑current systems
- Experience with EIA-364, DO-160, EN2591
, or similar testing standards preferred - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings clearly
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
