Position Overview

Assist with computing and recording numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining accurate accounts payable by utilizing accounting programs and software to record, store, and analyze information.
  • Assist with checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, accuracy, proper approvals and proper codes.
  • Prepare and/or process check requests, invoices, reimbursements, etc. for payment via check, ACH or credit card.
  • Reconcile vendor statements on a regular basis.
  • Track purchases for allocation to approved budgets.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist with compiling statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports pertaining to expenditures, and accounts payable.
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records for resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounts payable
Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Proficient with operating a 10-key calculator.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Excel, Word and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Docusign is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate in a concise and effective manner. Must be confident with organizational ability and possess the capacity to multi-task and take initiative.
  • Ability to exercise tact, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
