HOUSEKEEPER (AMBULATORY SERVICES) – PART TIME

Job DescriptionKeeping the environment clean and safe for our patients is so important. This role provides daily housekeeping services to patients and ensures a safe, clean and sanitary environment in accordance with laws, regulations, and facility guidelines.
Essential Functions- Provides daily housekeeping duties as assigned per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Closely follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Cleans floors, furnishings, fixtures, surfaces, and public spaces.
- Removes trash and cleans/disinfects waste containers.
- Disinfects restrooms in resident rooms and public spaces.
- Clean public spaces (corridors, stairwells, elevators, lobby).
- Clean equipment and work areas as assigned by Manager.
- Be knowledgeable of federal, state, and facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Attend in‑service educational programs.
- Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties.
- Understand facility fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and emergencies.
- Perform other department duties assigned by the Housekeeping/EVS or designee.
This position requires lifting up to 40 lbs and involves bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift. The worker may be exposed to odors, falls, burns, and infectious diseases, waste, blood, and body fluids.

- Resident rights awareness.
- General knowledge of HSKG/EVS skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- High school graduate or equivalent; one year of housekeeping experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Verbal and writing abilities to communicate with staff, residents, family members and the public.
- Motor coordination and manual dexterity.
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow directions and work assignments; willing to work flexible hours.
7 am - 3 pm; every other weekend and alternating holidays are required.
Hourly Rate$16.00/hr
