Position Overview

As our Behavioral Health Clinical Lead, you’ll serve as a key resource for Social Workers, CASAC Counselors, and other clinical staff, providing required supervision, leading case conferences and team meetings, and ensuring high standards in assessment, documentation, and treatment planning.

In this hybrid leadership role, you’ll oversee onboarding, training, licensure and CEU compliance, caseload management, and workflow coordination, while collaborating across programs to maintain regulatory excellence. Compensation Range: $33.63 - $50.45 per hour, depending on experience

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintains a high standard of professional conduct and acts as a resource and mentor for clinical staff.

  • Acts as direct resource for designated team members made up of clinical staff, such as Social Workers, CASAC Counselors, etc.

  • Provides clinical supervision as defined by NYS Department of Education, OMH, and/or OASAS and in accordance with regulatory requirements for frequency and modality.

  • Coordinates and facilitates case conferences, multidisciplinary team meetings, and group supervisions.

  • Completes documentation of clinical supervision meetings.

  • Oversees the scope of practice for clinical staff including:

  • Training and orientation for new hires.

  • Ongoing evaluation of new and existing clinical staff.

  • Assists in providing information updates regarding available CEU trainings for staff development.

  • Monitors for staff completion of required CEU’s.

  • Monitors for license and certification renewal compliance.

  • Providing input during completion of staff performance evaluations.

  • Assumes leadership role and coordinates the following for assigned supervises:

  • Making appropriate patient assignments.

  • Assuring adequate management of caseloads.

  • Monitoring schedules.

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures relative to assessment, diagnosis, documentation, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.

  • Collaborates with program staff to promote and facilitate the compliance and understanding of OASAS, OMH, Joint Commission, NYS DOH, Infection Control and all regulatory standards.

  • In high-demand periods, triages in collaboration with Supervisors and Directors to maximize patient throughput and staff efficiencies.

  • Provides direct patient care and carries a reduced caseload of patients in order to incorporate Clinical Lead responsibilities.

Position Qualifications

Minimum

Required:

  • Masters Degree plus three years of supervised experience

  • LCSW

Preferred:

  • Six years of relevant clinical experience
