Cybersecurity Engineer II – Product

Position located in Binghamton, NY. Requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret‑level security clearance issued by the U.S. Government prior to start date.

• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) security requirements.
• Architect, deploy, and optimize enterprise network solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and security.
• Configure, build, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux operating system environments in accordance with security and operational best practices.
• Support the Government Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in RMF accreditation efforts, including documentation development, control implementation, assessment coordination, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure optimal network performance, segmentation, and security posture.
• Validate and verify hardware and software functionality through testing, diagnostics, and performance evaluation.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational workflows.

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
• Must have Linux or Windows experience, including Active Directory, VMware, backup and recovery skills.
• Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Preferred:
  DoDD 8140 / 8570 certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) and an operating system certification.
• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF.
• Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies.
• Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, ESX, or other virtualization methods.
• Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange scripting.
